Snacks Provided by Marion City Schools
Snacks and Hot dinner provided daily for free for all teens onsite!
Want to use the main YMCA on Barks Road?
You’ll still need a Youth Membership ($16/month).
But if you’re just using the Rec Center — no membership needed!
MARIO KART RACING TOURNAMENT
Tuesday, September 15
Time: 4:30pm– 6:30pm
Grades 6th-12th
Start your engines, it's time to race! Join us for a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Tournament. Show off your skills and compete against other players to see who the ultimate champion is! Tournament for grades 6-12. The tournament format will be single elimination. Participants will race 1 cup series (4 races total) per round from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The top 2 scoring players from each round will advance to the next match. The final round of the tournament will be held for the top 4 players in each group. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place.
Registration required- closes September 10th at 11:59pm

Members: $8.00. Registration begins August 10th
Non-Members: $8.00. Registration begins August 17th
POTION MAKING WORKSHOP

A Halloween-themed STEM activity where participants create fun and creative "potions" through hands-on experiments and science activities.

A spooky creative makeover event where participants transform Barbie and Ken dolls into zombie-inspired creations.

BARISTA TRAINING 101–
MAKE ICED COFFEE LIKE A BARISTA!

Description:
Have you ever wondered what it was like to make drinks like a barista? Well, now’s your chance! Join us at the Rec Center on September as the Remnant baristas, Abby & Miriam, teach you how to make your own coffee drink, just like the pros! Choose from a selection of flavors, find the perfect balance of coffee and cream, and learn how to make your very own sweet cream! We will also implement a variety of decorating techniques to take your drink from just tasty, to tasty AND pretty!

GINGERBREAD HOUSE CONTEST

Description:
Teens in grades 6-12 join forces and compete in a Gingerbread making contest. First place winner receives a prize.
