DC MUSIC WORKSHOP AT THE REC

OCT 28-NOV 18 WED. 5:00PM-6:30PM
FREE MUSIC PROGRAM
Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with DC the Foodie for a fun, hands-on music experience as we create an original Rec Center anthem! Teens in grades 6–12 will have the opportunity to sing, rap, write lyrics, dance, and share their ideas as we bring a brand-new song to life. Whether you love music or are simply curious about the creative process, everyone is welcome!
Across 4 sessions, participants will work together to :
WRITE: Brainstorm ideas, create lyrics, and build the Rec Center anthem.
CREATE: Learn about the music-video process and prepare for filming.
RECORD: Bring the song to life in the recording studio. We will have a small music studio set up at the REC for this program and will brainstorm ideas, create lyrics, and build the Rec Center anthem.
FILM:Learn about the music-video process and prepare for filming.
Show off your dance moves, personality, and smiles as DC shoots a music video for the finished song!
Each session will be up to 90 minutes and may end early depending on the activities and progress. Come ready to create, collaborate, have fun, and help make the Rec Center’s very own anthem!
