PRESCHOOL FULL DAY CHILD CARE

Sept., 1 2020 - May, 29 2021
Monday through Friday
6:45 am 5:45 pm
Ages 3 through 5

The Marion Family YMCA is excited to announce the opening of our new, Preschool Full Day Child Care program. Our preschool program is created to prepare your child for kindergarten and meets all ODJFS licensing requirements.

In YMCA Preschool our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment for young children to learn, thrive, and grow.

Our program is designed to meet the developmental needs of young children ages three to five years. We provide experiences that enhance and enrich each child’s cognitive, language, social emotional, physical and creative development. Key components include literacy, mathematics, science, social and emotional development, problem solving, health and diversity. The pro-gram is designed to foster each child’s ability to develop a positive self-concept through a balance of self-directed activities and teacher-assisted activities.
The YMCA’s Preschool program will use The Creative Curriculum by Teachings Strategies as recommended by ODJFS.

The Preschool Curriculum will be delivered daily 9:00 am—3:00 pm. We encourage parents to have their child in the classroom prior to 9:00 am and to pick up after 3:00 pm.
Breakfast, lunch and snack will be served at scheduled times each day.

COVID-19 Health Protocols
The YMCA has been holding child care / camp since we opened Marion’s only Pandemic Child Care Center n late March. Based on our experience, recommendations from the CDC and best practices from national resources we will have stringent health protocols in place. These will include daily health screenings of children & staff, daily temperature checks, limited access to the classroom by parents, handwashing and frequent sanitizing. Our full health protocols are in the Preschool Handbook. Protocols are subject to change based on changing conditions in the community, CDC and health department recommendations.

However, no matter what precautions we take, by having your child attend YMCA child care you are assuming the risk that you or your child may be exposed to communicable diseases including COVID-19.
